Katie is a HCPC registered Podiatrist with a clinical background working within NHS, private and sports Podiatry. She obtained a Bachelor of Science with Merit in Sports Science from the University of Glasgow in 2007. In 2011, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Podiatry from Glasgow Caledonian University, dedicating her studies to musculoskeletal injuries. Since qualifying as a podiatrist, Katie has gained extensive experience working in both NHS and private clinics, working for NHS Tayside before joining Stirling Podiatry in 2014. Her special interests include sports injuries and biomechanics and in 2021, she enrolled in Podiatric Sports Medicine at Queen Mary University, completing the postgraduate certificate in 2022. This advanced training has enhanced her ability to provide evidence-based interventions and expanded her clinical practice. Katie has represented Scotland in football at Under-17 and Under-19 levels and captained the Scottish Women鈥檚 Premier League side Spartans until her retirement in 2022 due to injury. She is now the clubs Podiatrist and assist with injury surveillance assisting the sports science and medical team.
Exercise Induced Leg Pain (EILP). As part of her Masters, Katie is part of an overarching PhD group undertaking a Delphi consensus of world renowned experts.
